FloQ features: shared inbox, team chat and 2FA codes
FloQ is an app for small teams that puts shared mailboxes, team chat and shared two-step verification codes in one place, for Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and iPad. Here is everything it does, with the real screens.
Shared mailboxes for the whole team
The mailboxes you share (info@, orders@, accounts@) in one app, with everyone signing in as themselves.
Discuss a mail with the team
Bring a message into the chat with one click and decide together how to answer: the conversation stays next to the mail it is about.
- The mail as a card in the channel
- Threads that keep each topic tidy
- Who is replying, so nobody answers twice
Answer faster, without stepping on each other
Snooze a mail until the time you choose, write now and send later, and reuse the replies the team saved. What you send ends with an optional “Sent with FloQ” signature.
- Snooze: back at the top of the mailbox, as unread
- Schedule: pick the day and the time it goes out
- Saved replies shared with the team, found by title
- Signature on or off for each mailbox
Chat
Team chat, next to your mail
Channels by department, direct messages and threads, with the permissions of a business app.
Channels and permissions by role
Decide who sees and who writes in each channel, by role (Sales, Accounts, External) or by person. Read-only channels for announcements, private ones for the few who need them.
- Categories to keep channels in order
- Permissions per role or per person
- @everyone only for those allowed
Mentions, unread and everyone’s status
Mention a person or a whole role with @Role. Channels with new messages light up, and a red count shows only what concerns you. The status dot (Online, Away, Busy, or your own) follows each person, even next to their messages.
- A red count only for what concerns you
- Who is typing, in the channel and in the thread
- A phone icon for those writing from mobile
- Close the direct messages you no longer need
Messages and profiles with personality
Write in bold, italics, underline, strikethrough or spoiler, with code, headings, quotes and lists. Tap a picture or a name and the profile card opens: a colour, a cover and a couple of lines in “About me”.
- ⌘/Ctrl+B, I, U or the right-click menu, if you forget the symbols
- Picture and cover can be a GIF, from GIPHY or your computer
- Round pictures, cropped before uploading
- Right click: Profile, Mention, Message
Webhooks for each channel
As on Discord: owners and admins create a webhook for a channel in Settings → Integrations, and your tools post messages there. Whatever already writes to Discord writes to FloQ by changing the address.
- Created by owners and admins
- One per channel, in Settings → Integrations
- Messages from monitoring, business software and scripts
2FA codes
Shared two-step verification codes
The codes of shared accounts (hosting, e-commerce, advertising, banks) no longer depend on one person’s phone.
Codes on the server, shared with rules
FloQ generates the codes on its server, so the secret key never reaches anyone’s phone. Share each one with roles or people, decide who can only use it and who can manage it, and see every copy in the activity log.
- Add an account from its QR code
- Mine and shared with me, always with the countdown
- Rules by role or by person: use only, or manage
- Who copied which code, and when; on iPhone they open with Face ID
Every device
On the computer and in your pocket
The same FloQ and the same account on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android.
- Notifications only for the mail and messages that concern you
- Working hours for each mailbox: outside them, FloQ stays quiet
- Drag files onto the window to attach them
- Updates install themselves on the computer

Frequently asked questions
What is FloQ?
FloQ is an app for small teams that puts shared mailboxes, team chat and shared two-step verification codes in one place. It runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android, with the same account everywhere.
How much does it cost?
FloQ is free during early access. Any paid plan will be announced at least 30 days in advance and will apply only to those who accept it, as the terms of service say.
Do I have to change my mail provider?
No. Your mail stays on Microsoft 365, Gmail or your own server: FloQ reads it on your behalf and never writes the text of your emails to its disks.
Is it safe to give FloQ access to our mailboxes?
Mailbox credentials and tokens are encrypted with a key of their own for each team, the servers are in the European Union and you can revoke access at any time from Google or Microsoft.
How do shared two-step codes work?
The codes are generated on the FloQ server, so the secret key never reaches anyone’s phone. You decide who sees each code, and every use is written in the activity log.
Which mailboxes can I connect?
Microsoft 365 and Outlook, Gmail and Google Workspace (by signing in with the account), and any mailbox with IMAP and SMTP.
Who is FloQ for?
For small teams that share mailboxes like info@ or orders@ and today get by with forwards, WhatsApp and one phone holding the codes: studios, agencies, shops and small companies.
How is it different from Slack or a shared-inbox app?
It keeps in one app what are usually three tools: shared mail, chat and 2FA codes. With “Discuss with the team” you bring a mail into a direct or group chat and decide together how to answer. The comparison pages go into the details.
Can I use FloQ with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes, through MCP: the assistant reads mail and chat, and writes only if the team allows it (Gmail mailboxes stay out of reach). The AI assistants page has the details.
How do I move my team over?
Create the team, connect the mailboxes and invite your colleagues: everyone signs in with their own account. There is no automatic import from other chat tools.
Try it with your team
FloQ is free during early access. Download it, create your team and connect your first mailbox in a couple of minutes.
