FloQ

FloQ and Missive, compared

Missive is the closest competitor to FloQ: a mail client with team collaboration built in. The differences are what comes beyond mail, the price and how people work on a mail together.

In short

  • Both join shared mail and team chat; only FloQ also has shared 2FA codes.
  • Missive costs $14 to $36 per user; FloQ is free during early access.
  • Missive has more tools for collaborating on a single mail; FloQ moves the discussion into a chat with “Discuss with the team”.

Where FloQ is different

  • Shared verification codes are in the same app: no other mail tool offers them.
  • The discussion about a mail lives in a real chat, direct or group, and stays findable like any other conversation.
  • It costs less: free during early access, with no time-limited trial.

Where Missive is stronger

  • It is more mature: 4,500 paying companies, assignments, automatic rules, statistics and AI on the higher plans.
  • Drafts written together and comments inside the mail.
  • It integrates with more services and has years of polish.

When FloQ fits

If you want shared mail and chat together at a very low cost and care about shared 2FA codes, FloQ is enough. If assignments, rules and several people writing the same mail are the heart of your work, Missive is more complete.

Frequently asked questions

Is FloQ an alternative to Missive?

For part of the use, yes: shared mail plus chat. How you work on a mail differs (a linked chat, not comments inside the mail) and FloQ has no assignments or rules.

Can I move from Missive to FloQ?

Mailboxes reconnect in FloQ from Microsoft 365, Gmail or IMAP: the mail stays on your servers. Missive’s internal conversations are not imported.

How much does FloQ cost?

It is free during early access. Any paid plan is announced at least 30 days in advance.
