FloQ for AI assistants
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP to your FloQ account, and ask it things like “summarise the unread mail in Sales” or “what did we decide yesterday in #general?”.
What the assistant can do
- read the mail of the mailboxes you can see in FloQ: lists, searches and the text of a message;
- read the channels, threads and direct messages you can read;
- all of it only in the team you choose when you connect it, and only what you see yourself;
- if the team’s owners also allow writing, and you agree when you connect it: answer mail, send new mail and write in the chat on your behalf, only where you can write yourself, at most 20 sends an hour. Mail leaves at once, with your name, and chat messages are marked “via” the assistant.
What it cannot do
- move or delete mail, or mark it as read;
- send or write anything when the team allows reading only (the default);
- see 2FA codes;
- read Gmail mailboxes connected with Google: Google’s rules on its users’ data leave them out.
How to connect it
- A team owner switches assistants on in Team settings → AI assistants (they are off in every team until then).
- In your assistant, add a custom MCP connector (in Claude: Settings → Connectors) with this address:
https://floq.software-x.it/mcp - FloQ asks you to sign in, to choose the team and to allow access. You get an email to confirm it.
Staying in control
You see and disconnect your assistants in Profile → AI assistants. The team’s owners and admins see every connection and what each assistant read (which tool and on what, never the content), and owners can switch assistants off for everyone at once.
Good to know
What the assistant reads goes to the service you connected, under that provider’s terms: check its settings, including on training. Mail and chat come to the assistant marked as text written by others, so it does not take instructions hidden in a message; still, read what it suggests before acting on it.
